US Veterans Foundation is an organization focused on establishing a community presence through service-oriented programs that benefit the military community as well as general communities as a whole. USVF strives to ensure that our Veterans are mentally fit and equipped with all the tools required to make them very productive members of our communities and great community leaders. Our key objective is to combat the epidemic of Veteran suicide, statistically at 22+ per day, by providing a support network with enriching opportunities.

US Veterans Foundation was formally established in September of 2014, registered in Illinois as a Not For Profit Organization and classified by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) Public Charity. USVF campaigns to raise money to bring about change for the betterment of our Veteran community. We are headquartered in Jerseyville, IL, founded and operated by Veterans, and dedicated to helping our returning military service members with their transition to the civilian world. The founding members of US Veterans Foundation are military Veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan wars, Desert Storm, and Vietnam era conflicts.

Oftentimes, our returning Veterans face challenges unfamiliar to the civilian world. Working through camaraderie assists with re-integration into the civilian world, identification of opportunities through networking, and opportunity for mentoring our younger Vets by those of us who have already been through the transition. Therapeutic programs give Veterans a sense of accomplishment and camaraderie, and viable alternatives to long-term medication. USVF provides support and solidarity to our Veteran community through outdoor adventures, service dog resources, and morale-enhancing events.

The organization is open to ALL US military Veterans, active duty, Guard and Reserve, and those who wish to support the military community.

Rolling for Recovery

The US Veterans Foundation has partnered with several local gyms to offer a program that helps veterans combat PTSD through Martial Arts (specifically Brazilian Jujitsu). Studies have shown that martial arts can help reduce anxiety, panic attacks and headaches. Additionally it can help improve sleeplessness and overall health.  Current Partnering gyms include Headnod HQ, HeadNod Jerseyville, and Strategic Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

ARKANSAS FLOODED TIMBER DUCK HUNT

The US Veterans Foundation has partnered with Black River Flyway in Northeast Arkansas to offer unforgettable duck hunting experiences to our Vets. Each year Veterans apply, or are nominated, to participate in the all-expenses paid trip. USVF then randomly selects three Veterans to experience the three-day professionally guided hunts. Over the course of the trip, Veterans will get the chance to experience flooded timber hunts, as well as flooded field hunts and even goose hunts. And while the experience is second to none, it’s the camaraderie that truly makes this trip special. Our Vets arrive as strangers and leave as friends!
